Autors parāda, kā romāna galvenā varone Sīlija Džordana drosmīgi lauž sev ceļu, līdz no ierindas darbinieces kļūst par firmas prezidenti. Viņai nevainojami izdodas savienot sievas un mātes pienākumus ar panākumiem darbā. Turklāt Sīlijas laulības dzīve gadu gaitā nezaudē svaigumu, tāpat kā Sīlija savu sievišķīgo pievilcību. Šīla mani, protams, atbalstīja, kā to tika darījusi visu mūsu ilgo un mīlestības pilno laulības dzīves laiku. Tā nav nejauša sagadīšanās, ka vārdiem "Sīlija" un "Šīla" ir tik liela līdzība. Galu galā mans veselības stāvoklis uzlabojās tiktāl, ka Sīļa, manus enerģijas uzplūdus vērodama, vienudien ieteicās: — Man šķiet, ka tev vajadzētu uzrakstīt vēl vienu grāmatu.
